unable to connect to adb.

what are you trying to do? what program is that? a vm?

it is a hello world program...when i try to run the program it is showing this error message.

It seems you're on Windows and this is an Android Studio question which people need to know. If you're not on windows or using android studio, then you need to provide the correct details.
I don't use windows so I can't help you, but you should look at the log to see what it says. Also make sure you have ADB and that Android Studio is pointing to it. If you post in the development section I linked above with enough details, maybe a windows developer might be able to help.
