Help Unable to connect to hotspot

I am not able to connect my Samsung Tab 2 to my Ubuntu wifi hotspot. I have tried to replicate it. Created hotspot in ubuntu, which is working fine on my iPhone but not showing SSID on my tab 2.

another way i tried to replicate is i created hotspot on my iPhone and tried to connect to my tab2 and it was connected successfully.

So, I think problem is in tab only, which is showing ip address unavailable while trying to connect to Ubuntu hotspot. Is there anyway we can connect this hotspot to tab2?

Thanx

By the way I am using Tab 2 7.0 and Ubuntu 12.10

Some good information here:

I think essentially what it says is that your Ubuntu AP is running in ad hoc mode instead of infrastructure, which is the way most hardware APs are configured.
