Help Unable to Delete or Change Contact Info

I'm using a Droid Incredible w/2.2. I have some contacts that I am trying to delete from the People application. When I open People, I touch and hold on the contact. The only options it gives me are "Call Mobile" and "Send contact as V Card". It does not give me the option to edit or delete. Has anyone else ran into this issue and if so, how do I correct it. Thanks in advance for your help!

Open your contacts in People... tap the contact you want to delete... hit the menu button at the bottom of the phone. This will open a set of options to manage that contact.. including delete.

while editing my people contacts I find each contact has almost 4 enteries of, phone, email and birthdays, when I delete the extra one they keep appearing again, slowing my android htc wilfire s
