Unable to detect sim

Hi guys, i own a rooted Samsung Galaxy S. I had the usb port fixed due to some problems with the charging but after that the phone can't detect the sim. I have tried different sims and i flashed it but the phone still can't read the sim. What should i do?

Take it to a company (of yoiur carrier) store. They can put in another SIM to see if you have a bad SIM. If it's never detected your SIM since it came back from the USB port repair, I suspect that they fixed the USB port but broke the SIM socket. (In which case they'd have to fix the SIM socket for free.)
