Help unable to download apps or use google talk

Hi, I have not used my Optimus M for about a year and now I came back to it, and now I am not able to download or update any apps or sign into Google Talk. What is wrong? I found the Google Play app and downloaded it using the browser, but that did not fix my problem. I have 2.2.1 OS

Is it in service? Is it rooted? If so, what ROM are you using?
If it is rooted, wipe cache/dalvik cache. That usually fixes things.

If not, try a factory reset?

It is not in service or rooted. I'll try a factory reset and see what happens

When trying to download apps/stuff, or trying to connect to talk, are you connected to wifi?

hey, I just tried a factory reset and it fixed the problem. thanks. and yes I had been using wifi
