Unable to download apps?!

Had my hero a few months and only just started to play about with it! I am unable to download apps through the market section. Any other way I can do it?

What happens when you attempt to download?

If it starts but just pauses or constantly says "starting download" then make you you open the google talk app and sign in, then try again. (you may need to restart the phone i'm not sure)

Are you trying to download the apps while on 2G and not 3G?

That will make a big difference.
