"Unable to load the URL" - Google Maps

Every time I open Google Maps, a little pop-up window says "Unable to load the URL"

The program works fine, it's just kind of annoying. Does anyone else experience this? Is there a known solution? I cleared the cache and data and force-stopped the ap, but it still happens.

For what it's worth, the same exact thing happened on my Moment (well, on the Moment Google Maps didn't work at all due to the POS GPS)

Same thing happening here. It's been about 4-5 days now. Can't seem to find a solution. Did you click on any google map links before this happened?

Only thing I've found is from another forum that said Google suggests clearing data, cache, force stopping the app, then restarting the phone. Quite annoying - since I've done that and the error may go away for a day, then come right back.

I'll lay odds Google maps is being launched via a shortcut created by "any cut" app. Try launching maps directly from the app tray.
