Unable to log into HTC Peep

I logged out of Peep this morning because I noticed that the app wasn't updating despite refreshing and syncing. I have since not been able to log back in. I keep getting an error message saying that the username/email and password I've entered is incorrect. I double and tripled check many times and it was the correct log in info. I was able to connect to Twitter via the mobile version on the internet and by using the official Twitter app. I want to be log into Peep for my Friends Stream. I cleared the data and cache of the app but it still won't let me log in.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and know how to solve it? Thank you.
 
I have the same issue with HTC Wildfire. I tried clearing application data, factory data reset and even creating a new Twitter account just to see if it'll work. No luck.

I'm connecting via Wi-Fi and logging in with another Twitter client works just fine. Strange.
 
i think twitter have changed their api's today, so it looks like peep may be using an api that doesn't work anymore!
 
I too am having this problem. Was pretty frustrated until I looked here and found that I wasn't the only one. Just wondering, is there a place to report issues like this? I would figure that the more people who report the problem-maybe they'll work harder to get it fixed faster...
 
Just adding my name to the list. Updated to Froyo on my Incredible yesterday, and nothing seemed suspicious (although I mostly use Tweetdeck for Android, anyway). But then I did a clean wipe of the system and tried to add my Twitter account to Peep afterwards, and it would not accept my login. I mentioned it to @HTC this afternoon.
 
Add me to the list. But when I went to marketplace to download a new twitter app a lot of feedbacks dated 9/1 on a lot of other twitter clients including the one from Twitter Inc. seemed to have the same issue - authentication failure. Does anyone have a Twitter client that works on 2.1 and that can be downloaded from Android Marketplace?
 
Add me to the list too. As if the desire battery life issue wasn't bad enough, now this. HTC really need to get their act together when it comes to fixing problems.
 
Same issue with Peep here. Just started last night. And now I am getting constant force closes with the ESPN Score Center app also.
 
Jumping on to this thread. Started having problems refreshing, finally ended up having no tweets come on to the Peep app. I downloaded the TweetDeck beta for Android and while it's a bit different, I'm happy so far. I'm not loyal to any one app, but I'm hoping the latter doesn't fail to proceed past beta test.
 
Yes, it's an OAuth issue. Touiteur is still working fine, I recommend that to everyone. OR the Tweetdeck beta if you want something to update Facebook and Twitter. But Touiteur is a great Twitter app in my opinion. Sadly I will not be holding my breath waiting for HTC to do anything about this.
 
Add me to the list as well! Stopped working for me yesterday. I'm trying Seesmic for now. I've had others tell me TweetCaster works good to. I liked using Peep with Friendstream, oh well. Any other good suggestions out there? :confused:
