Help Unable to move apps to SD card even when formatted as internal storage

I'm using an Android One device running Android 6.0.1 (Micromax Canvas A1). I have formatted the SD card as internal storage.

However, most of the apps use up the space in actual internal storage and I'm unable to even move them to the SD card formatted as internal.

In older versions of Android I could move certain apps to SD card anyway, so what is the point in formatting it as internal storage? What am I missing?

Most Android devices have not allowed moving apps to SD since 4.0, so in one sense that is the point. Also the old Froyo/Gingerbread style "move to sd" only moved a part of the app and none of the app data - Marshmallow's "incorporated" storage should allow you to do this properly.

However, as I've not used 6.0 yet I don't know enough about that to work out what is causing your actual problem.
