Help Unable to open Samsung Browser Saved Pages

Hi,

Since the update to 4.3 I have been unable to open a couple of saved Web pages that had been created using the "Save for Offline Reading" when I was on 4.1.2

When trying to open the Saved Page the Browser just closes down. The files are still there as I was able to find them with Root Access. But I don't know what format they are in and I can't find any windows app that can display the contents of the files.

Anybody know anything that could help?

Thanks

If you long press that saved page it will let you copy the URL link and paste it into the new browser you can then save that page

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. However, the page was saved because the data on the page was temporary. It no longer exists on the internet. It was a couple of very basic pages that just contained sime HTML and no links to any other site. Just wish I knew how the saved pages were encoded.

I also want to save a whole web page then copy it to my PC in order to print it out. I can save the page, I can see my Tab on the PC but can't find said Saved Page. It seems like such a basic need.

I might be missing something here, but can't you just pull up the webpage on your PC and print it directly?

Hi - thanks for replying. The problem is that the PC and non wireless printer are in my house in Spain and the wi fi is down at the bar. Hence, I want to grab the crossword on the Tab, take it back to the house and print it out via the PC>

So, is it possible to copy a Saved age to a PC, please?

Can you use Google Chrome or Firefox and bookmark it on your tablet and then sync your bookmarks on your PC?

EDIT: Nevermind. You don't have any wifi connection at home?

If I can't access a saved page on the tab via a cable link to my PC which does seem very fundamental then do you think I could get an App for an Epson Stylus C44 and connect direct by cable using a female to female link from the tab usb and the printer cable?

Or, as I can see the Tab on the PC, if I can find the maybe coded file then maybe I could find an app to decode it on the PC. Ideally the saved page should be an HTML, then no probs.

I wonder why Samsung who are not awkward gits like A***e have encoded the saved page?

I'm not sure tbh. Could you try screengrabbing the crossword and then printing that? You shouldn't have any trouble getting that onto your PC.
