Help Unable to remove Chinese language on SamSung Galaxy 2

raman03

Lurker
Hi,
I recently bought SamSung Galaxy II. I have formatted it to factory default and selected English (US) language but still it shows me Korean in some of the features.
1) I go to "Messaging" for test message and select "Text Template" it shows all the Text templates in Chinese instead of English.

Under Settings -> Language and input -> Language it shows "English (United States) which is correct settings.

Under "Keyboards and input methods" it shows 2 options
1) Gingerbread keyboard
2) Samsung Chinese IME

I have already selected Gingerbread Keyboard and unselected Samsung Chinese IME.
Following is the information from "About Device"
Model number
SHV-E120S
Android Version
4.1.2
Baseband version
E120S.UJ27.1645.ST
Kernel Version
3.031-704944
se.infra@SEP-96-1
Build number
E120SKSJMA4-org-mutil

I really appreciate if some one could provide any insight on this issue.
Thanks,
Regards
Raman

Definately ask in the s2 forum mate. You probably just have to flash the right firmware onto it

Thanks for the response.
I am new to Android. So with the information I provided you think it does not have a default ROM like out of the box?
I have posted this question in S2 forum as well.
