Unable to Root T-Mobile Galaxy S2 T989

I used Kies to roll to JB, 4.1.2

Used this link http://androidforums.com/threads/guide-root-rom-the-sgh-t989.627099/ last post to "Root" the phone.

Odin gave the indication that everything went as planned and PASS! showed

Rebooted to recovery

"In TWRP, Select Reboot, then System, TWRP will tell you that you are not rooted and ask if you want to root. Use the Swipe bar at the bottom to root then follow the instructions to install SuperSu. Easy peasy."

I could not get TWRP to ask me to root.

Phone works fine, TWRP works fine, but no root (Root Checker). I would appreciate any help that tells me what I've done wrong.
