Help Unable to send a video through text/email because it is too big?

Morketh

Newbie
So I recorded a 16 second video and I was going to try to text it to my friend so he could tell me what the noise was and it would not allow me without resizing the video.
The video was 36MB and it resized it to 17MB.
I understand the video is awesome blossom quality so it is pretty big and maybe it is a good idea to resize it for the text but I had a friend take her samsung back and go back to iPhone because of that and she would send videos of her kid and they would be crappy quality when her family got them. With iphone she didn't have that problem.

If you are wanted to send videos to friends or email them from your phone how do you do it?
Once I got home I just copied the file to my hard drive and sent it in the email full size, but is there a way to do it from your phone?

What are my options here?

Some email servers still limit to 10MB for your total storage, so if you have a few emails with pics attached, you're out of space.
Pictures attached to text" - MMS, actually - is limited by the carrier.

The proper way to "send" a file to someone is to upload it to a filesharing site and email or text them a link to the file. With most free cloud storage accounts you have at least 5GB of space, enough for a full length commercial movie.
