Help unable to send email

When I'm connected to my 3 mifi I can't send emails. They just sit in the outbox and I get a notification. Any other WiFi hotspot connection works fine. I've tried a different 3 mifi and i couldn't send over that either. Any insights would be welcomed.

I would bet that your ISP for the mifi is blocking the port or url that you're using to send. What type of email are you sending? Is this a POP3 or Exchange/Outlook account?

Also who is the service provider for the access point?

You should try to ping the url for server (listed in your settings for that account).

To do this you'll likely want to connect a PC to the mifi and use it for internet access. If you can't ping them you've probably got your answer.

example: c:\>ping htc.imap.mail.yahoo.com

(for some reason HTC has a custom url for all the accounts you add to their mail program). You might also solve this by manually entering the info from your mail provider.

Other things to try would be turning off SSL (port 993) un-secure would be 143. not the best option but it might allow it to work and you can go from there.
