Unable to send texts to older iphones.

A very strange problem i've been having. I can sent texts to my friends that have android devices and iphone 4/4s but for those who still have the old iphone 3g/3gs, my note won't let me send them a text, phone keeps stating "message not sent"

I thought that it could be the phone itself, so I put my sim card into a friends xperia active and same thing happened, cant send a text to my dad who ones an iphone 3g but can send a text to a mate who has an iphone 4.

Has anyone else experienced this bizarre problem or is it just me?

sounds more like a bizarre problem more than anything.

can your dad send you a txt?? if so, will it let you reply to it?
