Help Unable to shoot video: "Shooting not supported"

Lurker
Hello! I've been lurking here for a while finding solutions to the various problems I've had with my Centura - my very first "smart" phone! - since I bought it in December of 2013 through Tracfone. This one has me stumped, though.

I used to be able to record video clips using this phone, but a few weeks after buying it, it would show "shooting not supported" after I tapped the Record button, and it will sometimes lock up completely after this when I try to switch it back to the still camera.

I've tried setting it to store vids to the phone and to the mmc - no change.
Rebooting seems like it helped once or twice, but not any more.
I've searched Google for this and can only find that phrase in relation to digital cameras. Before I spend what I can only assume is a long time doing a factory reset - has anyone else run into this or maybe have any advice?

Thanks so much!
:)

That's a Straight Talk phone - the warranty should be one year. (Even without a receipt, they'll probably warranty it for a year from the activation date.) Go to Walmart and see if they'll replace the phone. If not, get on Facebook, go to Straight Talk's page and ask them about repair or replacement. (Facebook is where their best tech support people work.)
