Help Unable to Skype?

I installed Skype about a month ago on my Desire S and had no problems with it, but now whenever I call someone the call goes through but I can't hear the other person and they can't hear me. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling but hasn't solved the problem. Went on Skype help forums and someone suggested trying to install an older version... before I do that has anybody who had the same problem been able to fix this?

Have you tried resetting the cache and all that stuff from the applications menu in settings, could try uninstalling app taking battery out for a minute or so and then re installing. Dunno otherwise,
