Help Unable to Sync - No USB Mass Storage

I just got this phone (running 4.1.1) and I need to sync music onto my micro SD card. When I go to settings > Storage > Menu > USB Computer Connection, the only choices of ways to connect are Media Device (MTP) and Camera (PTP). Neither of these options allow the phone or micro SD card to show up as a mass storage device on my PC. Does anyone know of any reasons why the third option for USB Mass storage Device will not show up? I am really lost with this.

Also I have tried resetting my device, deleting all third party apps, and removing and re-installing the micro SD card. Any suggestions would be helpful, I feel like I've tried everything.

I broke my RAZR M and cracked glass display so nothing shows up. I tried connecting it to my computer but it keeps coming up as an unknow USB Device. Do you think that is due to the same issues you're having or because my device is damaged?
