Unable to update new firmware

Hi All,

I have Samsung Galaxy GT-I9100 and its CSC-XEU.

Yesterday when I tried to upgrade, firmware downloaded successfully. But, the process freezes at "Preparing firmware upgrade components... " screen.

Today again when I tried to upgrade, error appears, "Failed to run firmware upgrade. Unknown error occured.."

I have the latest Kies version installed, which is 2.3.0.12035_16.

Please help.

Clear your temp folders and try to update again, or try to update via Kies on a different PC.
I suspect a error in the downloaded copy of the update package.

If all that doesn't work you can down load the firmware package manually from the link below and flash it manually via Odin.

I have also checked by clearing cache and temp files using cc cleaner but still problem persist :shot:

Will try with other machine this is the only option left :s:

I have never used odin as m new to android and as i know odin is use to root s2, please correct me if i am wrong :afraid:

Odin is not just a rooting tool.

It is used to flash firmware packages, kernels, modem, etc on the phone.

You can flash an official/unofficial/custom rom, rooted kernel, etc etc.

The link that I provided is for the official firmware package, hence flashing that via Odin would be as good as updating via Kies.
