Hi all

I have been trying to browse the internet on my Android Tablet, but all I get is adverts and just cannot get rid of them - mainly from Google Playstore.

Can anyone help, or suggest anything?

Thanks.

What tablet, what browser, and what makes you think the adverts are from Play Store? The Google Play Store DOES NOT put ads in your browser.

Many thanks for your reply.

Tablet - GT90X
Browser - Default, as installed
First advert is from Play Store for games, remainder from Netflix, gdxp and ftzh (?)

Have just loaded Firefox and seems to be no problem - at the moment!!!

That's really odd IMO. Can you provide a screenshot of the ads? It's more likely that another app is putting the ads in there, and not the play store.

Afraid I can't take an SS on a tablet. Never learnt how to - yet. Still very green on tablet use - an age thing.

I have been trying to sort this problem out and have even downloaded the FireFox app to use as the browser. It seems that all the ads on the installed browser are coming via Google and Ad Choices, which I have found to be a pain in the neck and annoying, on my PC. The problem on my PC was solved by choosing to opt out, but I can't find out how to do it on my tablet. I did find some instructions, but there was too much waffling and jargon to sort anything out. Just need step-by-step instructions like they do on some sites, like eHow. Will have to check on there to see if they have any.

Thanks.

Probably the default browser itself doing it, which is more likely as it is a Chinese tablet, and given that Firefox you installed seems to be ad free.

I know that the free Boat Browser does ads, and that's Chinese.
