Help Unamed texts coming through.

HI.
Iv'e been getting lots of text messages coming through with just the phone number even though they're in my people list , it doesn't happen all the time just most of the time .Have i done something or is it a problem .

Interesting, the same thing has just happened to me. I've just added a new contact and at first the name came up in the sms, but now I only get the phone number. It's only happening with this particular contact though, all the others seem fine... Sorry I couldn't shed any more light.

i have had the same thing today with a message from my son, but his number had +44 in the notification, changed it to 0 and his name came up on message this is the only one i have had up to now

Mine does that too but the name does appear eventually
