Help Unbearable s6 edge

Hello, i bought the galaxy s6 edge. The fist couple of weeks it worked insanely well and fast, everything i have come to expect of samsung and android. But about 2 weeks ago (a month into having it) i started randomly getting crazy lag and the phone slows way down. It is only on the display, if i am watching a video then the sound keeps going but the video gets choppy. It gets so bad that sometimes the phone freezes up to 10 seconds and the only way to fix it is restarting the phone a couple times. My phone is up to date on 5.1.1 and it is getting frustrating, so much so I am temped to take it back, any advice will help.

I think 5.1.1 appeared recently on you r device as an upgrade to the OS. When the OS is upgraded it's usually a good idea to do a factory reset. I hate doing this because you have to back up and restore your device. In a lot of instances clearing the system cache can help.
