Unblock SMS Short Code

I have an HTC Desire 626 running Marshmallow 6.0.1, security patch June 1, 2017 on T-Mobile network. Using Chomp SMS 7.17 as my primary texting app.

I recently signed up for alerts from Discover card, which they send using a short code. A day or 2 after I signed up for the alerts I had a security pop-up on my phone, saying that it was trying to send out an SMS to that short code, without thinking about it, I just clicked on 'Deny'. Now I can't reply to the alerts they send me and I can't find anywhere to undo the block. I've been through all the Chomp settings, Android Messenger settings, phone security settings, Discover App settings & t-mobile settings both on my phone and through their web site.

Does anybody know how I can unblock that short code, so I can send messages out to it?

So from what I can gather after digging around online, there used to be an option to allow premium sms that was removed in Android marshmallow.

You might still check. Settings>applications>all
You might need to hit the menu button and select show system apps. See if there's something in there called "message service" or "sms service". And if so, see if it has a permission to allow premium sms.

You might also check for this option for chomp, but I installed it and didn't see it.

If you don't have the option, a solution I came across was to install another 3rd party messaging app and send a message to that shortcode. When the popup shows up, allow it and then it should be working again on chomp as well.

This is nothing I could really test. Just something I came across after digging a bit.

Brian, there was no system setting for SMS, I downloaded Handcent / Next SMS. I was able to respond to Discover and received a response back. I then tried it again with Chomp and it failed. I then uninstalled Chomp, restarted the phone, re-installed Chomp and attempted another reply. It still failed. I'm going to contact Chomp support but keep using Next SMS for now. Thanks for your help.

Let me know if chomp can help. I looked all over for solutions and there wasn't too much I could find.

Curious to see the solution though if you get it working again.
