Help Undelete SMS messages on Samsung Galaxy/Android 1.5

Guys, a strange problem that I've been grappling with since I bought my Samsung Galaxy (Android 1.5) a few days ago. I deleted an SMS thread, and later wanted to undelete it, but could not find any 'Trash' or 'Delete' folder in the Messaging application. I tried exploring the application menu, but no go.

The only other thread I came across highlighting a similar issue was this one: http://androidforums.com/support/2181-anyway-undelete-text-messages-sim-card-help.html

That thread is well over a year old--any idea whether there's an update and I can recover files/SMS messages I might have deleted?

Hmm... not sure if I detect a hint of cynicism in your reply, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. :)

I'm coming from the fact that there was a 'Deleted Items' folder in my earlier Windows Mobile phone, but there doesn't appear to be one in Android.

no, unlike how microsoft likes to do things, what you delete in android is actually deleted

Unfortunately OP, you're not going to get your message back. Unlike WM, Android has "threaded" conversations (meaning all messages from one recipient appear together), rather than relying on folders for organisation. My approach is to just never delete any messages :) (have about 2400 now)

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?? The tech support at Bell Canada couldn't figure it out and all the old emails are taking up valuable space??
