If I under clock the stock awe kernel and check apply on boot will my settings stick or do I need to use awestruck kernel for that? I guess my question is: Does the stock kernel always default to 1.18 max and 3.84 min or can I under clock it?
The reason I ask is I under clocked to 972mhz and my phone has not seen any decrease in performance at all. It's like it did nothing. In fact it's almost faster it seems.

This will only work if you disable the mpdecision and thermald daemons, otherwise they will both reset your clocks to max. I highly recommend the AWEstruck kernel. For... reasons.
