Underlining off?

My tablet is Samsung S7 FE. I use ColorNote and TypeApp applications with Gboard.
When I write something, Gboard underlines every word and after pressing space, underlining disappears.
How do I get rid of this annoying underlining feature ?

Use a different keyboard app other than gboard

Otherwise I like Gboard and I would like to continue using it. Is there s solution for Gboard?

It does that when spell check is on, it's sort of proofreading itself. Go into Gboard settings and toggle it off, underlining will stop.

you can also try and wipe cache and data for gboard.

Data and cache have nothing to do with it, it's the spell check setting.

Spell checking for sure, there is sooooooooo many other options you can used instead of that though, relax no one will ever know if you mispell a word, just click on it and there will be a drop down menu for every word.

I am going to try revisiting that option as I have that issue but I also saw it happening on a display model (Verizon) Z Fold 4 and S 22 (Ultra?). In my case, the real problem is that after the underlined text if I hit enter/return, nothing much happens depending upon what app/browser etc that I am working in. If I hit the spacebar, then it works. I think that you mentioned something like this.
