Undo "Always" select option

When sending a text I chose the images option then chose Gallery. I accidentally his always so now I can only select images from the Gallery. How do I undo the "always" default?

Go into Settings > Apps (or maybe "App Manager" on a Samsung), select the Gallery app, and there should be information about whether it has any "defaults set". If it has, try clearing that.

I think that is more likely than something in the message app's settings, but if it doesn't work then the message app's settings are the other place to look.

(I don't have a Samsung phone, so can't check that app's settings myself).

I did that but it did not work. I also tried 1 Tap Cleaner which wanted me to hit an option which I did not have.

It's funny because the "just once" vs "always" dialogue is the thing that sets the app defaults, which you should be able to clear as described.

What if you install another gallery app? When you install a new app capable of handling an intent then it should ask the question again.

Interesting, I will install an emoji app see if that does the trick. Are there any other gallery apps you can suggest. btw, your help is greatly appreciated.
