Undo on the Android

18 months ago I made a massive mistake and got an Iphone on contract. I was stuck with the piece of rubbish for the duration but since last week I have a Samsung Galaxy SII. The Android is so much better than Apples inferior version. I can see flash websites. However my main gripe with the iphone was not having a file system and the keypad number annoyance. (On the iphone the number pad dissapeared with you enter a space between numbers. On the Android it realises I want to stay on numbers. Brilliant.)

However. And I wish I had known this. I need an undo button. I travel a lot and need to send long emails and update code and text for websites whilst on the move. On these occasions (and it happens to me a lot) I just shook the iphone and recovered the lost text. It appears that this can't be done with Android? Can someone confirm that?

What would be the reason behind not supplying it? Is it a) they don't think users want it, b) they are not clever enough or c) limitations on the shell of the operating system they built? Or?

Yes - this is unbelievable. I'm just thinking of switching and although this seems like a small thing it really could stop me. Can't all the might of the Android developers who can do anything (because they're not stuck in Apple world) not fix this?? Seems truly bizarre. Is there any way round this?
