Just noticed this behavior with my replacement Droid 2, it didn't happen with my first D2, but when I remove the phone from the home dock or car dock, the phone loads that most recent app that was used.
For example, if I was playing Angry Birds before bed, hit home and go to the home screen, then put the phone on the dock, when I get up in the morning, the home screen shows briefly, then loads Angry Birds.
It's getting rather annoying, but not a major issue. I've tried it with several different apps, even so far as waiting an hour before docking the phone, but every time it loads the last app used.
Anyone got any insight? I've tried looking the forums but have come up empty on this issue.
