Help unfortunately process.com.android.systemui has stopped

I own an infinix x506. I recently observed that whenever a call comes in, a dialogue box pops up saying unfortunately process.com.android.systemui has stopped. When this happens, I have go click OK after which the screen goes blank for a while, before I am then able to access the call. More often, I miss the call. Please what do I do to fix this? I'm having the same issue with my Samsung S3 mini and the whole phone crashes. I'm having to take out the battery to reset the phone. When I make calls I can't hear anything or say anything despite the call connecting. I can't end the call either. When people are calling me I miss the call because it answers but freezes so no one can talk. It is also happening with text messages.

Systemui is a pretty integral part of the OS.

I'm not sure you'll be able to clear cache and data for it so you're only option is probably trying a factory reset.

Download that, run it (it gives you instructions on how it works), then try a factory reset.

I know it seems kinda extreme, but for that error, there's very little else you can do.
