Root Uninstall or Disable Swype without Root

I have the myTouch 3G 3.5mm which comes with Swype keyboard stock installed. I don't use it because I really don't like it. Today I found out that even though I don't use it, the app is running and eating up 20MB+ of memory all the time. That's a lot of memory for something to be using up even though I'm not using.

I tried to uininstall it from Settings->Applications, but it doesn't have a button on its screen to uninstall. I also tried unintstalling with AppManager, but it doesn't show up either. I looked at the text settings, but don't seen an option to enable/disable it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to uninstall it or completely disable it so its never running at all without having to root the phone? I just don't want it.

if your using the keyboard your using the sype. Same thing. Its like me with better keyboard and or android keyboard. One of the two will eat up memory never both.

There is no uninstall.

Do you have Astro? If not go to market and download

Open> Menu, Tools, Process Manager

See if there are TWO types of keyboards running there is something is wrong.

Then im lost on that one. Sorry i could not be of more help
