Uninstall widget?

Is there a way to uninstall the widgets and applications that come with the phone? In particular I'm wanting to uninstall the facebook app/widget. Can't find a way. Thanks for the help!

I tried a quick uninstall app and no joy. Seems built in Apps don't allow removal currently.

I too want to remove some apps like facebook as I loathe it....

thanks for the replies. As I can't uninstall it using any (free) app I found I'll just have to wait for root access. Anyone know when/how I'll get root access?
