Uninstalling apps

I have had my phone for about a month. I cannot figure out how to uninstall apps that I have installed and decided I do not want to keep. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Menu>settings>applications>manage applications then select the app you want to uninstall and hit the uninstall button.
