Root Uninstalling bootstrap?

Most of the threads I see for custom roms say always use with safe strap. I have boot strap installed and it is what u have always used. Are these rooms still compatible with bootstrap? Or should I un install bootstrap and just go with safe strap? If so do I just Un install bootstrap like I would with any other app? Or is there some other way to go about this? Thanks.
 
You must use safestrap on all custom roms bud. For the droid razr anyways.
Unistall bootstrap and install safestrap for custom rom install
