Help Unknown notification icon in status bar

I have an icon in the top left of my Samsung Mega that looks like a volume dial on a radio in my status bar. I searched everywhere, unintalled loads of junk but not found anything that seems to remove it or affects it.

I have tried Air Push and unistalled the pplications that it identified had ad pusshy stuff, but still no change.

I tried holding my fat finger on it but nothing happens!

I searched through all my apps to see if they had a similar kind of icon but nothing happens.

Any ideas ??

How does it look if you pull down the notification bar?
... then you'd have a long press on it for to see which app caused it

Is it the facial recognition symbol? I keeps your phone from sleeping while viewing the screen.

No it's on the top left next door to the other app notifications. It doesn't seem to have any connection to anything, also it is always there, nothing seems to remove it. even if i restart the phone.

Does anybody know if I can restart the phone in "Safe mode" and confirm each additional service app that starts up on the phone.

I'm getting paranoid that somethings loggin my everymove now.

Install and run 'Notification History', then restart the phone and then look on Notification History's log for the apps that have send notifications.

I have finally found out it is the Powerful Control application from Farproc...

stupidly though, I thought the Powerful Contol controls in the notification where system tools and not part of the notification so never realised they were connected !(doh)
