Unlimited Data to ??? When Upgrading

So, I currently have 2 smartphones and 2 basic phones all on a 700 minute Family Share plan. My smartphone has unlimited data currently.

If I choose to upgrade my phone at a discount, what data plan will I get switched to while keeping my Family Share? I saw someone post 6GB. IS that right?

Exactly, they are offering 6 gb only to folks who have unlimited data to lure them off of it.

No. That's just a 2-gigger.

If you want to keep unlimited data on your smartphone then transfer your upgrade to the other smartphone to buy a new phone...once you get the new phone, activate it on the 2gb line then reactivate the old phone on that line...finally remove your SIM card (assuming they are the same size, otherwise you will have to cut it) and insert it in the new phone...your contact date will be extended to 2 years from now while retaining your unlimited data plan

What are they charging for this 6GB plan? Is it grandfatherable or will you only get it for the 2 years? Also, is it tetherable without an additional charge?

This may actually tempt me off the unlimted if I get bored with my Note 2.
