Help Unlock and Registration Help.

Hell I just ordered an HTC magic(mytouch 3g) and it is not unlocked.

I'm wondering if there are any free methods to unlock the phone? I do NOT have tmobile, i got att.

Also i hear you must connect to a data network to register it with google as well..
Any way to do this without data plan or "hack it" so i don't need to..

You can do everything over WiFI. Most unlockers cost something.
