Unlock Lock Screen with Google Password?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. I change my password every few days and can not for the life of me remember what I changed it to. I thought that if I entered it incorrectly that it would just prompt me for my gmail information to reset it, but it doesn't it just keeps telling me to wait 30 seconds and retype it. Is there anyway to unlock it using my google account?

try to enter your password until the “too many attempts” window comes up, then click on “forgot pin” and you will be asked to enter your gmail username and password you registered with. This will remove the lock screen and allow you to change your password. If you do not have mobile data or internet activated this gets trickier.
You need to be near an unsecured connection. Have someone call you (do not answer). You will be able to drop the notification bar down and enable a connection to the unsecured network (if you did not disable this feature).

This was working on the S4 the last time I had someone try it. After doing that you will be able to go back to my first step and you will be prompted to enter your gmail information.
