Unlock screen doesn't appear

Hello all,

I just received my sim unlock code from my provider because my phone has a simlock.
They said in the email that I have to put in a not allowed simcard, enter the code of that simcard and then I have to see a screen where I can type the simlock code. I can enter the sim card code, but then I have no signal, so it doesn't work.

Unfortunately that screen doesn't show up. So where to enter the unlock code?!


My HTC Sensation XE is rooted and I have Android 4.2.2 on it.

Is there another way to enter the code to unlock my simlock?

Is the non-accepted sim a working sim, and do you have coverage with that network where you are? The phone will need to see that there's a non-working SIM in there before it will ask you for the unlock code. It might be worth also making sure that there's no security code on the simcard or the handset, just to make it easier to enter.

It should ask you for a sim network unlock PIN, this is the only way to enter it afaik.
