Help Unlock screen issue?

Puzuma

Newbie
I'm not talking about the pattern unlock, just the basic swipe to unlock.

I've had my Xperia X10 for a couple of weeks now and all has been fine. Normally the unlock swipe is from the lower left to the upper right. Last night at work though, something happened and the swipe is mirrored. I now have to swipe from the bottom right to upper left.

I went through all the settings to see if I could switch it back, but I'm not seeing it. Maybe I'm just over tired.

It's not a huge problem if I can't. Just kind of odd....

Hi there Puzuma

you won't find the solution anywhere in the settings

All you have to do is "grab" the top of the swipe bar by holding your finger on it - then drag it to the other side of the screen

I assume this feature is implimented so that left/right handed users get the same arc of swiping with the thumb

Hope this helps

I think they put it on there just to trip up unwary users and give us a bit of a shock! I actually used mine like it for a couple of days before I found how to fix and darn it, it's so simple when you know how!

LOL @ rosered

found it within 10 minutes of turning phone on cos i was that impatient to start using it i pulled the lockscreen nearly off the phone

loving the phone so much - been customizing the home with ADW and widgets all over - though thinking of HTC Desire HD in November if no 2.1 by then

just been finishing my wallpaper off with some planetscape - just a shame i can't grap the screen lol - want to post in another thread - ah well

come to the dark side - we have froyo

HAHAHAHA! Now I feel silly! I didn't see anything in the owners manual about it, then again I wasn't even sure what I'd be looking for.

For my next trick I'll be pushing on the pull door!
