Help Unlock screen slow to appear

As the title says.....

Let me clear, it's not the sliding to unlock part that's slow, its when the screen is black and I press the side button....the unlock screen can sometimes take 1-2 seconds to appear.

My old phone screen always appeared instantly, so this is fairly annoying (particularly when checking the time since I dont carry a watch!!)

I notice in Application Manager that I never seem to have much memory remaining...currently I have 200MB...before a reboot earlier I had 130

These seem to be the major memory offenders:
Settings : 30MB
Music Player : 24MB
Samsung Keyboard : 20MB
Facebook : 18MB
Maps : 8MB

Cached Processes:
Touchwiz Home : 39MB
Linkedin : 26MB (This seems a lot?)
Messaging 20MB
Google Services : 10MB
Twitter : 10MB
Email : 8.7MB

Memory probably isn't the problem....just offering up some figures to work with.

Help appreciated...this is doing my head in!

Hi there,
Try this:
Go to apps>s-voice>press menu>turn off the option to open it with a double menu press.

Lock your phone now try the unlock.

HTH

yoo.. Ive had the same problem.

first after some soulsearching I found out to disable the s-voice button in settings does speed it up. now only takes max 1 sec i guess.

what annoys me even more is the main screen flickers when waking phone up as if it needs to reload the wheather and such on main slide.

Hey, thanks for answering. Unfortunately I've already tried that, but to no avail

Can't say I've really noticed the second issue...
