Root Unlock

I have rooted my AT&T Thrive and want to know if I can unlock it to use a T-mobile sim card because they have better "pay as you go" minute prices.

It is unlockable, but you have to buy the code from your unlocker sites. I unlocked mine and my t-mo PAYG works fine. I haven't tried any data though. You will only get edge since ATT 3g does not work on t-mo's 3g. You will get 2g.

Huh? As far as I'm aware, both charge $0.10/minute on the lowest rate plan.
