Unlocked ATT Galaxy S4 phone to use with TMobile

Seriously noob question:

I'm looking at the relatively inexpensive Samsung Galaxy S 4 IV SGH-I337 ATT phone on eBay, but the LTE frequencies listed in specs don't correspond with the ones TMobile uses, at least according to Wiki

Supported 4G LTE, listed in phone specs: LTE 800 / 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100 - SGH

Tmob supported 4G LTE frequencies: 1700/2100 MHz AWS / 700 MHz Block A / 1900 MHz PCS

Internet research gave me very conflicting information on whether the phone would get LTE service with Tmobile. Does anyone has any experience with this particular phone - ATT unlocked Samsung Galaxy S 4 IV SGH-I337 with Tmobile?

thank you
:)

I just unlocked my buddies ATT S4 (I337 MF3) so he could use it on Tmobile. If you would clarify exactly what you need to know, I will check tomorrow when I see him. Are you asking if he gets 4G service?

thanks for your reply, backdoc77!

i'm pretty sure i can get 4G (or whatever Tmob is marketing to be 4G) with this device, but i'm not sure about 4G LTE.

If your friend has any traffic monitoring apps installed on his device, can you please post his download / upload speeds?

thanks!

I'd be happy to, however, being a noob myself, i'm not sure how to find the download speeds. How would I go about revealing this information?

You would need to install some speed test app from the app from the app store. I use Speedtest.net by Ookla.
Make sure you have WiFi turned off so the app measures Tmob network speed :)

My current stats with Verizon's 4G LTE are:
PING: 54ms
Down: 16.24 Mbps
Up: 1.78 Mbps

but i'm using rather old phone, so someone with a newer phone probably would get better results than that.

To answer my own question, unlocked Samsung Galaxy S 4 IV SGH-I337 does get 4G LTE service with T-Mobile, speed varies depending on the time of the day and where i am in my apartment, but on average i'd say it's around 15 Mbps Down and 10 Mbps up.

edit

I can live with that.
