Do you all think better to get a new a53 from total by Verizon for $200 or get an excellent refurbished unlocked one off eBay for $245?

Are you planning on staying with Total by Verizon for a while?

If so I'd also say new. :thumbsupdroid:
If they're as good service as postpaid Verizon I will I finally broke down and ordered the new phone and plan with them.

Will this phone be unlocked to all carriers, or Verizon specific. I'm trying to catch up on the US scene. Verizon were a CDMA network but not anymore, I understand that. However do their phones need unique bands, or are unlocked phones equipped for most of the major carriers now?

Locked but supposed to unlock automatically after 60 days

Thanks. It may be restricted to the 4G and 5G bands Verizon use, but someone can fill you in. I presume Verizon coverage suits you best anyway. A minimum of only 60 days with probably 30 days notice seems good. I can't help you with the Total reputation bit, but as they've been taken over by Verizon it should be fine. I would find the data for $30 limiting but I have a different use scenario.

I mainly use my Wi-Fi I got last month so hopefully I won't need any more data than the $30 plan has. Yes I have Verizon postpaid now I'm tired of the almost $100 a month with only 450 minutes. Verizon has great coverage at my home tower within half a mile.
