Unlocked G1 on At&T Question

Hi everyone....So I have an unlocked G1 with AT&T and it was working fine after I unlocked it and everything. As of late yesterday I am not able to recieve texts. I send them fine, or at least that's what my phone is indicating but the recipients are not getting them (that's what I asked one of my friends as I texted them). I do recieve a text here and there but again when I reply my phone shows that its sending them but its not making it to the recipient. Plus my EDGE internet icon comes and goes off my screen. Anyone experienced this or know of a fix? Thanks in advance

Things to try:

-New SIM card
-Try ChompSMS
-Double check all APN settings (might even take it to a store, or call tech support)
-Factory reset (last resort)
