I purchased a unlocked Verizon Galaxy s6 online. Took it to my carrier Cricket Wireless to switch out my Cricket brand Galaxy s4.
Phone has been great since switching service to this phone back in September, however in the last month, when using the message+ verizon app installed on the phone, a notification saying "system failure" would pop up. So I stopped using the app and started using the default msg app..... the msg stopped poping up.
Now I can't send pics, it's rare when it does, the phone is laggy, freezes sometimes for up to 15 secs. And now in the last 4 days, a notification pops up at the top saying "this is not a verizon SIM card" also now it's having a hard time charging. When I go to settings and have it check for an update, it says service is unavailable, instead of something to the affect of "updated already" or "newest version already applied". Super frustrating! Please help!!
I think the guy at Cricket didn't do something correctly or forgot a step when he was messing with all the settings.
When I received the phone in the mail, I ran over to Cricket store to pick up a SIM card. I was told all that I needed to do was put my SIM in the S6 and done. But my s4 SIM wasn't a mico. While paying for the SIM, the guy asked me if he could look at my phone. Next thing you know I'm being charged an activation fee, he's telling me that he needs to do this and that with it, but he's having a hard time figuring it out, wants me to leave the phone with him blah blah blah......I'm super confused now on what the hell is going on.
Long story short, I'm not sure if any of what he did had any significance or not, but thought I should mention. So please if there's anything specific or special that I should know or should do, please share your wisdom. This is the first "unlocked" phone I have bought.
