Help unlocked motorola backflip

if i buy the backflip unlocked.....would i still be able to download any apps from the market at all....even tho that i am not on AT&T. or do i need to be on AT&T to download any of the apps offered

The Android Market is open for all Android devices. It's not carrier specific at all.

ok... well i no AT&T had put restrictions on the phone so i was just making sure
