unlocked note 2 compatible with straight talk

[Android Question]

how do I find out if I buy an unlocked galaxy note 2 will work with straight talk before I buy the phone? When you go to the bring your phone straight talk web site you have to plug in info from a phone you already have. I don't want to buy this phone only to find out it will not work with straight talk.

"Unlocked" as in from TMobile or AT&T? Check the bands used by the phone and the carrier to see if you'll get LTE. Otherwise, yes, the phone will work.

"Unlocked" as in Verizon? If it's not LTE, it's never been used in Verizon no-contract and it passes the Straight Talk "info plug in", probably. "Unlocked" as in Sprint? Probably not.
