Help Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 issues

I bought an unlocked Samsung galaxy s5 and it is originally from at&t. I am using this phone for tmobile and bought a Sims card from tmobile and also have a 4g lte plan with them. However, my gf and I are on this plan and my phone does not seem to be getting the 4g lte. Her phone is the same, samsung galaxy s5, but it is from tmobile. She seems to be able to get the 4g lte while on the other hand I am unable to. We live together so I should be getting the LTE just like her, but my phone fails to receive it. So, I am curious to see if anyone has input on this situaton or not.

Also, i just checked my girlfriends network. She has an apn that has "T-Mobile US LTE"
And mine only has "T-Mobile US"
I have tried adding an apn but there are a few things I cannot edit and remains unchanged such as ipv protocol and such.

Have you asked t-mobile about it? I left them 6 months ago but any time I walked into a store they were most helpful with phone issues. Mary

Not quite yet, time has been playing with me lately. But I will give them a visit before I travel today. Thanks and yes they are always so helpful when visiting the stores

You need to set a new APN (access point network), as your phone is most likely still using the one from AT&T. Contact T-Mobile and ask them for the APN settings.

Hi, your SIM needs to be 4G enabled by the network, it took 24 hours for mine to be enabled by Tesco after contacting them. Phil

They have it on their support section on their site. I was unable to change a few things on it at the end, such as the protocols. Mine is at ipv 4 and does not allow me to change to ipv 6.
