I just bought a Galaxy Note 2 from someone on Craigslist and tried unlocking the phone the usual way that I found on the internet. However, there's one step that's missing on the phone during the process. I now find out that to unlock an At&t phone you have to get an 8 digit code from them. I tried calling At&t customer service and pleaded my case to them but, they won't give me the code. I also begged the seller who I bought the phone from to get the code for me from At&t but, he's not answering my texts but, he did text me saying that he's filling out the form to get the code for me. I don't believe him.
I really don't want to have the phone rooted. Is there a way to unlock the phone a different way? Please help!!
